Debbie McInnes

deb website picDebbie has been involved in public relations for over thirty years, establishing her boutique agency, DMCPR Media in 1993. Since then, DMCPR has reset the bar in communications strategy delivery, with unprecedented media coverage outcomes for clients in publishing, the arts, music, not-for-profit and corporate arena. Her passion to help others share their message is what has seen her succeed and form long lasting client relationships spanning decades.

Prior to founding her consultancy, Debbie worked in sales at Pan Macmillan publishing house before moving into publicity where she was responsible for big brand author campaigns such as Barbara Taylor Bradford, Jackie Collins, Jack Brabham and Oliver Sacks. This opportunity enabled her to promote in a wide range of areas – the arts, sport, entertainment, business, health, travel, gardening and cookery.

Annabel Rijks

Annabel’s career began in the publicity department of Pan Macmillan over 13 years ago, before moving to Random House Australia. While there she focused on non-fiction where she learnt many things including how to cook like a masterchef or understand foreign policy. Annabel has worked with a wide variety of authors including Layne Beachley, Akmal Saleh, Mark Ella, Keith Suter, Richard Fidler, Irvine Welsh, Lisa Unger, Fast Ed, Matthew Brace, Bradley Trevor Grieve, Anita Bell & Rupert Guinness.

In 2010 she moved from publishing into film & television working for Roadshow Entertainment for 6 years, across a wide variety of local and international content from the ABC, BBC, Screentime, Lionsgate, Village Roadshow and much more. Whilst there she had her most fun promoting Ricky Gervais, Puberty Blues, numerous Underbelly series and local playschool turned Wolf Creek actor John Jarratt. She left her full time role as National Publicity Manager when she started a family, and was freelancing before joining the talented team at DMCPR in 2017. Annabel loves entertainment in all forms and has absolutely no control when it comes to buying children’s books.

Ineke Walker 

Ineke has worked in marketing and publicity within the publishing industry for over 20 years.  She commenced her career at David Campese Management Group, where she worked with sporting personalities such as F1 Driver Mark Webber, Wallaby George Gregan and swimmer Matthew Dunn.  She left this for the heady world of magazine publishing, enjoying roles at both marie claire and New Woman magazines.  Always drawn to the written word, she accepted a publicist role at Allen and Unwin and was hooked on books going on to work as Publicity Manager at Hachette Australia for 4 years (working alongside many fiction and non-fiction authors including Penny Vincenzi, Jonah Lomu, James Patterson, Andrew Daddo, Pamela Stephenson, The GI Diet) and then Marketing and Publicity Manager at Simon and Schuster (James Duigan’s Clean and Lean series, Vince Flynn, The Fleurville Trilogy).  Ineke and Debbie met more years ago than they care to remember and constantly enjoy the challenge and wonder of spreading the message of the people and projects we work with.
